These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. Just thinking, is it possible to purchase some other make of only the amp/sub hooked up in some way? That would be cheaper if i have to replace, and the satellites have plenty of punch for my tastes. The following sections contain notices for various countries:įCC Part15: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules.

Theres an ST Audio card for music making needs hooked up to the A2 via optical in there too.įinally my linux box has an old Cruz for mp3 playback, using said headphones. It was hooked up to an Audigy 2 Ex Platinum so its not like its incompatible or anything :bleh: At least i have these Platonics headphones to use for now. The satelites are still good though, its just the amp n sub that are integrated which no longer operate. I might get an electrician to have alook at the unit and see if its fixable i suppose, but i do not hold out hope. This also means i have no warranty! *sob*

I can't see the PC causing spikes of somesort as its on its own UPS, and until this point the speakers have been running for well over a year on the same plug. The following time i removed the wiring from the pc incase it was miss wired in some way - pop! it goes again. I replaced that with one of the spares and it instantly went upon switching on. Removed the fuse and the glass bit was all blackened. Then i switched the pc on and it was fine, then suddenly i heard a 'click click' of which at first i thought was the radiator in the room coming on. I replaced the buggered one and turn it on. I somehow managed to pop the fuse on it, so i went out and bought a few identical spec ones to replace it with and have some spares. I have a Megaworks 5.1 THX system that is *dead* :( PS I think the fact that we all have 9800pros has something to do with the forum we reside in eh? I actually had a ZS in my hands the other day (with a $150 burning a hole in my pocket) almost allowing myself to get sucked in by the firewire(which I have no use for currently) and the 24bit/192khz (which is not percievably better), and ultimately convinced myself it wasnt worth it at this point in time. The advancements IMO are minimal and unnoticeable to most. Anyway I think I conceded the features to the zs, I think soundcards last alot longer than video cards and CPU's and such. No, it does'nt support those specs, but do you think you could tell the difference between the 2 all things equal with a blindfold on? I bet you could'nt, thats like buying a video card that has AGP8x thinking you will notice a huge difference over 4x. So I guess we are all sheep for using 9800 Pro's too. IMO, it gives the best bang for the buck in terms of features and quality. The Audigy 2 zs is without a question the best gaming card on the market, and it is pretty decent in stereo/surround quality and features. Logitech WingMan Strike Force 3D USB joystick Logitech 2.4GHz Cordless USB Gamepad/Rumblepad 2x D-Link DSB-H4 powered 4 port USB v1.1 hubs.ĭoes your sound card support 24-bit 192Khz stereo with only 108dB SNR? Doubtful that a two year old card would meet those specs.
